the best chocolate sauce

This chocolate sauce is so easy and so much better than any you can buy. It is delicious with ice cream, on a banana split, over Pear Helene or with anything that is good with chocolate sauce! Here it’s served warm over good quality vanilla ice cream, with frozen pitted cherries (thawed) and a good scattering of toasted shredded coconut.


For each serve heat 1 heaped tablespoon of light sour cream in the microwave until bubbling a little. Add 1 tablespoon of sweetened drinking chocolate and 1 teaspoon of Dutch cocoa powder. Stir well until everything is combined and smooth. Lastly, add a teaspoon of butter and stir until melted and glossy.
